CA Employment Law Help From McAllister Garfield’s Attorney Anne Kelson
We are proud to announce that we have added employment lawyer Anne Kelson as one of our California attorneys assisting the Firm and its clients. Anne brings extensive experience in employment counseling and litigation. MAUCRSA and its implementing regulations include many important provisions related to employment law, including mandatory training for employees at infused products companies. Moreover, every cannabis company should have written and binding independent contractor agreements, separation agreements, executive employment agreements and other pre-hire documents and policies. Anne can help with all of these matters and she also drafts employment handbooks, employment policies, and training materials which are required for all California employers.
Moreover, Anne can provide counseling and management training on state and federal wage and hour compliance, employee leave requirements, reasonable accommodations, and recent federal and state legislation. Finally, she can also assist with pre-litigation counseling, employee discipline, work place investigations, demand letters and pre-litigation mediation in order to resolve employment issues before litigation.
As you move into the fully regulated cannabis industry in California, we strongly encourage you to reach out to Anne for an initial consultation about your potential employment law needs. You can reach Anne at anne@mcallistergarfield.com and for more information about Anne, click here.
