Overview of Psychedelic Mushroom Initiatives

Sean McAllister has expanded his groundbreaking work from cannabis to include the emerging issues around psychedelic mushrooms or psilocybin. Sean is General Counsel to the Denver campaign that decriminalized psilocybin mushrooms last year and he has been appointed by the Mayor of Denver to the Psilocybin Mushroom Policy Review Panel working on the implementation of the law. In addition, Sean is now General Counsel to the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicine. In this emerging field, there may be regulated business allowed as a result of state ballot initiatives in November 2020 in California, Oregon, and possibly Colorado. Sean has summarized the current decriminalization laws in Denver and Oakland, and reviewed the proposed ballot initiatives in California and Oregon in this article:
